Short proposals may be submitted at any time and will be batched for evaluation every first Tuesday of the month at 5pm Brussels time.

EIC Accelerator provides funding and support to startups and SMEs developing high-risk, game-changing innovations (TRL 6-8) with potential to create or disrupt markets. It offers a blended finance package combining grants and equity investments, plus business acceleration services like coaching, mentoring, and access to networks and global partners.

Who can apply
Single start-ups and SMEs, individuals intending to launch an SME, and small mid-caps, from EU member states or countries associated to Horizon Europe. Mid-caps are limited to the investment-only scheme.

What the application asks

The questions from the programme's own form, so you know what to prepare before you start.

  1. Step 1, short proposal: a 12-page form, a 10-slide pitch deck as PDF, and a 3-minute video pitch. Reviewed by four experts, feedback in 4 to 6 weeks.
  2. Step 2, full proposal: a 20-page form, pitch deck, implementation plan, financial information, Letters of Intent, a freedom-to-operate analysis and a 3-minute video. Interviews with technology experts 3 to 4 weeks after submission.
  3. Step 3: a pitch to the EIC jury, results 2 to 3 weeks later.
  4. Step 4: grant agreement and due diligence on the investment component.
